When I am looking for inspiration for my clothing, my first stop is the store. While I am browsing through materials for dresses, tops or skirts, I like to feel the fabrics for their textures. The ones I like, I then imagine what it could look like as a piece of clothing. I typically have a basic design thought out, and when I get home, I make the pattern. I choose to design this way because I feel more involved in my own creating process. I choose every aspect of how my designs come to life.

 

The same goes for my jewelry. When I am at a store, I look through all the beads, charms and chains, and look for pieces that will go together. I don't design my creations out on paper first. I let my creativity flow from the materials I am looking at and touching. It all then comes together in a one of a kind piece.
